Ten Steps to Grow Your Business While Sleeping
Use those quiet moments just before bedtime or first thing in the morning to plan for business growth.
Now you are probably thinking that I am crazy. How can you grow your business while asleep? Let me show you how.
Charles Haanel in the Master Key Success Course tells us that it is best to visualize what we want while seeking “The Silence” He describes “The Silence” as being a period of “physical stillness.”
Have you ever noticed that the best time to pray, meditate or plan the day is usually first thing in the morning before the rest of the family is out and about or just before bedtime. These are usually times when we can be alone and have quiet and peace of mind.
The Silence can be a time to ponder what lies ahead, to give gratitude for what we have or to think about the problems we have that need solving.
Although our bodies get tired and stressed our unconscious mind never rests. It is working 24 hours per day and it never tires. So why not put its power into operation for us while we are sleeping?
When I was a kid I used to have terrible nightmares. It used to be that I dreaded going to bed because the fears would return nightly. After years of fear and problems sleeping I remember telling myself to stop having nightmares. I also imagined myself sleeping well and waking up with no memory of disturbing dreams. Magically the nightmares stopped and I have not had a problem with them since. Now that I am older and have studied much psychology I realize that I stopped the nightmares by giving my subconscious mind a suggestion and my subconscious mind simply acted on the suggestion and solved my problem.
This same technique of giving the subconscious mind a suggestion may be used to grow your business or get what you want in life.
1. Seek the silence at least twice a day. (A period of physical stillness) The best times are early in the morning upon waking and in the evening before bed time.
2. Just before bedtime, visually imagine that you are putting your problems in a box and handing them over to your subconscious mind to deal with them. (This step should also help you sleep better.) Also imagine yourself in the condition that you wish to become reality. For example if you are shy see yourself talking to people. If you wish for a new house. See yourself living in the new house. If you desire business success see yourself running a million dollar business.
3. Also write down questions to ask your subconscious mind. Writing things down helps to store things in your memory and make it six times more likely that they will be remembered later. When writing down your questions for your subconscious mind use symbols or icons to represent your ideas or questions. These visual images or icons will also help the subconscious mind absorb them better than just using words. (This process has been successfully used for years by major corporations and is often referred to as Mind Mapping ©.)
4. Now read the questions that you have written down and direct the questions toward your subconscious mind. Hearing the questions read aloud will also help to embed them in your subconscious mind. Studies have shown that the more senses such as hearing, seeing, feeling that are used the more likely we are to recall an event.
5. Read aloud the questions with sincerity and emotion. The subconscious mind is much more likely to be effected by words or images that are attached to emotion.
6. Anticipate with a childlike faith that there will be answers to your problems when you awaken in the morning. Good things come to those who believe.
7. Write down or record your answers in the morning on a notepad near your bed.
8. Remember to have gratitude for all that you have and all that is coming to you.
9. Don’t forget to put the ideas and answers to quick use or they will be lost or forgotten.
10. Remember to repeat this process daily in the morning and before bedtime. Expect to receive solutions to problems and for visualizations to materialize into reality. The most difficult part of this process is realizing that you have the power to solve your problems and in keeping focused on your goals. This is why you must keep repeating this process over and over until you have realized your goals or solved your problems in business or life.
Now I hope that you still don’t think that I am crazy. You really can grow your business while you sleep. Now… if you don’t mind…I am going to yawn…catch a few ZZZZZZZZZ’s so that I can also grow my business while I am sleeping.
