Seeking The Silence for Business Success

How to Engage the Subconscious Mind to Achieve Success

"Intuition usually comes in the silence: great minds seek solitude frequently; it is here that all the larger problems of life will be worked out.  For this reason every businessman who can afford it has a private office, where he will not be disturbed; if you cannot afford a private office, you can at least find somewhere, where you can be alone for a few minutes each day, to train the thought along lines which will enable you to develop that invincible power which is necessary to achieve."  -Charles Haanel, author of the Master Key System of Success

Charles Haanel in his revolutionary 24 Part System of Success course describes The Silence as being a period of mental and physical stillness.  He states that The Silence is a place and time of our choosing that we may use to impress our subconscious mind in a way as to assure our success in business or in life.

The following are seven tips to help you use The Silence to help you to succeed in business and in life.

1. Seek the Silence at least two times per day.  The best times are usually first thing in the morning and before bedtime.

2. Seek a place that is quiet and free from interruptions.

3. Relax physically while in The Silence.   This may be attained with deep breathing, yoga, tai chi, warm baths, meditation, prayer or whatever works best for you.

4. Visualize the ideal situation that you are seeking while in The Silence.   See the ideal job you want or the new car or the great relationship.  The more detail that you can add to your vision the more likely it is to become real.

5. Do not allow negative thoughts into your mind while in The Silence. Replace thoughts of fear with thoughts of courage.   Replace thoughts of failure with thoughts of success.  Replace inaccurate thoughts with thoughts of truth.  Remember that the way to defeat darkness is with light.

6. Repeat positive and truthful affirmations while in The Silence.  Positive Affirmations can be used to impress the subconscious mind.  Repeated affirmations can also help to build faith.  You have heard the phrase the more times you repeat a lie the more you believe it.   Well, it is also true that the more times you repeat the truth the more you will believe the truth.

7. Practice expressing gratitude for your success while in The Silence and you will find that your successful business will continue to prosper.
